Thomas Zebergs Wins Bronze for Latvia at UEC BMX European Championships Final Day
Latvian young BMX racer Thomas Zebergs claimed third place in the B13 group at the UEC BMX European Championships in Sarrians, France, on Sunday.

The UEC BMX European Championships concluded on Sunday in Sarrians, France, with youth and amateur races. In intense heat, a large field of participants took to the start, including several Latvian athletes.
The best result for Latvia came from Thomas Zebergs of “RRS/ BMX Rīga”, who secured a bronze medal in the B13 group final among 99 competitors. In the same group, Oskars Turkins (“Eprotech team/ BMX Valmiera/VSS”) finished sixth, and Gustavs Ģigulis from Mārupe placed eighth.
In the G14 girls' category, with 54 participants, Ketija Bernāte (“Tālava/ VSS”) reached the final and finished seventh. In B12, Lūkass Baikovs (“Ozolēni”) took seventh place. Another “Tālava/ VSS” rider, Ieva Višņevska, was seventh in G12. Meanwhile, Rolands Baranovskis (“Silvas ziķeri/ Smiltenes BJSS”) finished eighth in his final.
The performance of Latvian athletes at the championship highlights the competitiveness of young BMX riders on the international stage.
