Tottenham and Everton shared the points in a goalless 0:0 draw in round four of the English Premier League, extending the home side's scoring drought to four consecutive matches.

The first half offered few clear-cut chances. The hosts' best opportunity came from a defender who met a corner delivery close to goal but fired narrowly over the crossbar. Before the break, Everton nearly took the lead when a cleverly placed shot under the defensive wall was saved by goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.

Everton dominate after the break

Everton came out stronger in the second half and created several chances. In the 50th minute, a powerful header from a cross flew toward the top corner, but Kinsky again denied the visitors. A long-range effort from the edge of the box later caused little trouble for the Tottenham goalkeeper. Late in the match, Everton had another good chance inside the box, but the shot went over the crossbar. The game grew more physical in the second half, with two players booked.

Bergvall's late effort denied

Tottenham's best chance to snatch a win came in the 89th minute, when a player found space at the edge of the box and struck low toward the bottom corner, only for Everton's goalkeeper to produce a fine save. The score remained unchanged until the final whistle, with both sides settling for a point.

Following the result, Tottenham sit near the bottom of the table, while Everton occupy a mid-table position with seven points.
