Tragic Crash on Tallinn Highway: Three Victims Turkish Citizens, Fourth Latvian
A collision between a cargo van and a BMW on the Tallinn highway (A1) early Saturday morning killed four people – three Turkish nationals and one Latvian. Police have launched a criminal investigation.

On Saturday, July 11, at approximately 5:47 AM, a cargo van and a BMW collided on the Tallinn highway (A1) near the "Oltuži" bus stop in Salacgrīva parish. The crash claimed the lives of the cargo van driver, a Latvian national, and three occupants of the BMW, all Turkish citizens.
The State Police have initiated criminal proceedings and will investigate whether the drivers were under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants. Rescue workers had to use hydraulic tools to extract the bodies.
Two other fatal accidents occurred on Friday evening. In Iecava parish, a collision between a BMW and a Renault left one person dead and five injured. In Zvārtava parish, Valka district, a quad bike driver lost control and overturned, suffering fatal injuries.
