Six Dead, 25 Injured in Tragic Day on Latvian Roads
In the past 24 hours, Latvia recorded 124 traffic accidents, resulting in 25 injured and six fatalities. Police have initiated several criminal proceedings.

State Police report that in the last 24 hours, there were 124 traffic accidents on Latvian roads, leaving 25 people injured and six dead.
In terms of administrative penalties, 534 decisions were issued, including 254 for speeding and six for aggressive driving. Two administrative proceedings and five criminal proceedings were initiated for drunk driving, and one criminal proceeding for driving under the influence of drugs.
On Wednesday, July 10, around 4:58 PM, a collision between a BMW and a Renault occurred on road P93 in Iecava Parish, Bauska Municipality, resulting in one fatality and five injuries. In Zvārtava Parish, Valka Municipality, a quad bike driver reportedly lost control and overturned, dying from his injuries. On Thursday, July 11, around 5:47 AM, a cargo van and a BMW collided, killing the van driver and three occupants of the BMW. Police are investigating all incidents.
