Eduards Tralmaks has received another chance to play in the National Hockey League (NHL). In July, the Latvian forward signed a contract with the Edmonton Oilers. However, his path to the team's main roster inevitably involves a person with a heavily tarnished reputation.
Since July, the Oilers have been led by Canadian Mike Babcock. This is his first NHL position since the fall of 2023, when his short and scandalous stint with the Columbus Blue Jackets ended before the first official game.
In an interview with TVNET+, Tralmaks commented on the widely reported story about Babcock. The coach allegedly addressed an AHL player with the words: "This is great, isn't it? Enjoy – it's the last time you'll be on an NHL bench."
