Trump jokes about Melania's signature while she signs a document

US President Donald Trump made a public remark about the significance of his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, and her signature as she signed a document linked to a new initiative in women's health. The video of the moment was posted on Instagram by American journalist Jessica Yellin and prompted debate among users.

What happened

Melania Trump recently presented a new women's health initiative and became head of the new unit. When the president handed her a pen to sign the relevant document, he said he did not know whether her signature had any significance at all. Those present laughed.

Melania replied that his signature was the most important one. As Donald Trump watched his wife sign, he added that the signature looked very similar to his own. Melania answered that she copies everything.

Reaction on social media

The initiative itself drew less attention from journalists this time than the president's comment. In the comments under the video, some users criticised Trump's behaviour and defended his wife. One commenter wrote that Melania's reply sounded like talking to a small child. Another suggested the situation would end in divorce. Some users expressed bafflement at how Melania can tolerate such treatment.

The source does not say exactly when the event took place, only that it came shortly after the initiative was presented. The comments reflect only the views of individual social media users.
