Trump threatens new attack on Iran's underground nuclear facility near Natanz

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the United States is far from finished with Iran and warned that the next target could be an underground nuclear facility near Natanz, known as "Pickaxe Mountain." Western intelligence believes Iran may be building an undeclared uranium enrichment site there.

"We will soon attack that area and do it very thoroughly," Trump said during a meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the White House. He added that he does not usually announce targets in advance but remarked that "they can't do anything to stop it."

Trump estimated that Iran would need more than 20 years to recover from the current damage. "If we left right now, Iran would need 20, 25 years to recover from the destruction. Well, we're not finished yet, we won't leave now," the president stated.

The US and Iran resumed hostilities on July 12, effectively breaking a ceasefire signed in April. Fighting is concentrated around the Strait of Hormuz. The US has resumed attacks on Iranian targets, while Tehran has responded by striking regional countries that host US military bases.
