Trump Speaks with Putin After Zelensky Call; Russian Leader Invites Zelensky to Moscow
US President Donald Trump held a phone call with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on Sunday, June 14, expressing readiness to influence Kyiv and European partners to cease hostilities in Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on Sunday, June 14, according to Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov, as reported by TASS. The call lasted exactly 55 minutes.
Trump reiterated his call for an end to hostilities in Ukraine and, according to Ushakov, expressed willingness to influence Kyiv and US European allies. Putin responded that Kyiv's attempts to strike Russian civilian infrastructure would not change the situation on the battlefield.
Putin confirmed to Trump that if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants a meeting, he should come to Moscow. The two leaders agreed that US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will visit Russia again soon.
The Russian dictator also praised Melania Trump's role in reuniting Russian and Ukrainian children with their families. Trump informed Putin that a US-Iran deal is close and may be announced on June 14.
Trump also mentioned that Putin was the first foreign leader to call him on Sunday, as Trump celebrates his 80th birthday.
Earlier the same day, Trump spoke with Zelensky, and they agreed to meet at the G7 summit.
