Trump promises Ukraine the right to produce Patriot systems

At a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the NATO summit in Ankara, U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. will give Ukraine the rights to produce Patriot air defense systems.

"A little bird told me that we will give them the right to produce Patriot. We will show them how to do it. It's a very complicated process, but you will manage quickly," Trump said.

He noted that the company manufacturing Patriots and currently building four plants can complete the task in two to three months. Trump acknowledged that orders for the system currently require long waits, as do Tomahawk missiles. He added that the U.S. plans to grant licenses for producing other equipment considered elite.

"That's good, isn't it? So you can't complain that we give you too little. We will say: 'Do it yourselves.' We haven't told the company yet, but it will work out. Of course, they will be thrilled," Trump added.
