Trump vows tough response to Iran after strike on US bases in Jordan
US President Donald Trump said Washington will respond to Iran's overnight strike on American military bases in Jordan. He said nearly all the missiles fired were intercepted.

US President Donald Trump has promised that Washington will retaliate against Iran after Tehran carried out an overnight strike on American military bases in Jordan. He made the comments in remarks to Fox News, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
Trump said the United States would "hit them hard" and that a response was coming. He added that nearly all of the missiles launched by Iran were intercepted by American air defense systems, with the exception of one.
Earlier threats over Kharg Island
Earlier, Trump had posted an AI-generated video on his social media platform depicting strikes on Kharg Island, which plays a key role in Iran's energy exports. The island has repeatedly been the target of Trump's threats during his campaign against Iran.
Unofficial reports have suggested the US president considered seizing the island as one option for expanding the conflict, though these threats have not so far been followed through on.
