Trump and Macron to dine at Versailles after G7 summit
U.S. President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron will have dinner at the Palace of Versailles after the G7 summit to mark the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.

Dinner at Versailles
U.S. President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron will meet for dinner at the Palace of Versailles following the G7 summit. According to reports from the Associated Press and Politico, citing representatives of both presidents, Macron invited Trump on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, highlighting Versailles as a historic symbol of Franco-American friendship.
Trump will arrive in France on Monday, June 15, right after celebrating his 80th birthday in Washington. The G7 summit itself will be held in Évian-les-Bains.
Summit agenda
European leaders expect to discuss a range of issues with Trump during the summit, including the war in Ukraine and the conflict over Iran. Last year, the U.S. president left the summit early due to an escalation of the situation with Iran.
On Tuesday, June 16, the summit schedule includes a working session with G7 leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. However, according to a Trump administration official, no separate meeting between the U.S. and Ukrainian presidents is currently planned.
Earlier reports indicated that Trump and Zelenskyy would participate in a working meeting within the G7 summit in France on June 16.
