Trump Says He Would Invite Zelensky to G20 Summit in Miami
US President Donald Trump told reporters he has no problem inviting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the G20 summit in Miami. The US has already invited Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

US President Donald Trump has said he has no objection to inviting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the G20 summit planned for December in Miami. The G20 is a forum of the world's largest economies. Trump made the remark when reporters put the question to him, according to a post by the "Rapid Response 47" account on the social network X.
Journalists asked whether Trump would invite Zelensky, given that the United States has already invited Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The answer was brief: "I would... yes, I would gladly. No problem."
Background
The US invited Putin to the December G20 summit in Miami, where he could meet Trump. The day before, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in the United States to take part in a G20 foreign ministers' meeting.
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, commenting on the meeting, said Lavrov had shown no readiness for peace negotiations. UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, for his part, made accusations against his Russian counterpart Lavrov during the G20 foreign ministers' gathering.
The source does not say whether Zelensky will formally receive an invitation or when that might happen.
