Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for Ukraine's Joint Forces grouping, said Russian troops in the Slobozhanshchyna region are continuously attempting to find gaps in Ukrainian defensive lines using small, and lately even ultra-small, infantry groups. According to Ukrinform, such attempts are most frequent in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, as well as in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector.

Tregubov said the Russian groups try to gain a foothold in areas without direct Ukrainian military control, including gaps between Ukrainian positions. He noted that Russian forces are gradually reducing the size of these groups to make them less noticeable.

Less use of equipment

Tregubov also said Russian forces are no longer using equipment on a mass scale in these directions. At the same time, the number of combat clashes in the main sectors has slightly decreased compared to the previous period.

The spokesman said there are certain signs suggesting that, rather than a pause, Russian forces are currently going through a period of resource depletion along Ukraine's main frontline sectors. He specified that this applies particularly to the Kupiansk and Southern Slobozhanshchyna sectors, where the trend is most clearly observed.
