Trekše, Anis and Rozīte keep scoring in pre-season floorball friendlies

As preparations continue for the new season, several Latvian floorball players based in Switzerland and abroad keep delivering solid individual performances in preseason friendlies, even as their teams' results differ.

Trekše scores, but Wiler loses

SV Wiler-Ersigen newcomer Pēteris Trekše was among the scorers against Floorball Koniz Bern. After a poor start left Wiler trailing 0:3, the team fought back, with Trekše scoring and later setting up another goal. The match ended 4:4, but the opponents won the post-game shootout 5:4. Trekše's next match is set for August 26 against Tigers Langnau.

Rozīte contributes two points again, team falls short

Floorball Chur United, featuring sisters Jūlija and Madlēna Rozīte, lost 5:6 to Red Ants Winterthur in the Fortuna Masters tournament, after earlier beating UHC Laupen ZH 6:2. In the second game, Jūlija recorded a goal and an assist, while Madlēna did not register any points.

Anis scores, but his team suffers a surprise loss

At the Umeo Scandic Cup in Sweden, UHC Uster, featuring Latvia national team forward Daniels Jānis Anis, suffered an unexpected 5:7 loss to lower-league side IBK Lulea in their final group match, despite Anis helping level the score at 5:5. Even so, one win from three matches was enough to secure second place and a spot in the final.

Karlsons in the top line during a defeat

Jakobs Karlsons' club UHC Sarganserland followed a convincing 9:4 win over Kloten-Dietlikon Jets with a 1:4 loss to Floorball Chur United. Karlsons played in the first line but did not register any points.

Three losses for Garbare's team

Evelīna Garbare's club UHV Skorpion Emmental suffered three close losses at the Beo Cup tournament — against Unihockey Berner Oberland (4:6), Wizards Bern Burgdorf (4:5) and Zug United (6:7). Garbare's individual statistics from the tournament are not yet available.
