Trekše and Anis Each Score Twice in Swiss Cup Floorball

Most Swiss floorball clubs featuring Latvian players advanced in the Swiss Cup round of 16, with Pēteris Trekše and Daniels Jānis Anis each scoring two goals, while Andris Rajeckis and Armands Savins were eliminated.

In the round of 16 of the Swiss floorball cup, most clubs featuring Latvian players secured their spot in the next round. Only Andris Rajeckis and Armands Savins were eliminated, while Pēteris Trekše and Daniels Jānis Anis both scored two goals in their respective matches.

Trekše and Anis shine

Trekše's club "SV Wiler-Ersigen" won 9:1 away against lower-division side "Red Devils March-Hofe". The Latvian national team forward scored in the 53rd and 59th minutes. The next round brings a tougher away match against fellow league team "Tigers Langnau".

Anis contributed two goals as "UHC Uster" defeated "Unihockey Emme" 8:2. He scored the equalizer and added another goal in the final minute of the second period. His team will next host "Kloten-Dietlikon Jets".

Other results

The player from Liepāja started on the bench as Swiss champions "HC Rychenberg Winterthur" thrashed "Bassersdorf Nurensdorf" 12:3 away, without registering points. They will next face "Grasshopper Club Zuric".

Jakob Karlsons's "UHC Sarganserland" won 5:4 in a shootout against "Ad Astra Obwalden", a club where Kristaps Vaičis works as a fitness coach. Karlsons assisted on the equalizing goal.

Meanwhile, Armands Savins and Andris Rajeckis's "UHC Grunenmatt" lost 3:7 at home to higher-division "Floorball Chur United" and were eliminated. Heiki Lūkonen's "Kloten-Dietlikon Jets" won 7:3 away.
