Third family with triplets receives €15,000 benefit this year
Latvia has granted a one-time social benefit of €15,000 to the third family with triplets this year.

The Ministry of Welfare (LM) has announced that a third family with triplets has been awarded a one-time social benefit of €15,000 this year. The payment is exempt from personal income tax and is covered by the ministry’s budget.
The benefit for families with triplets has been provided since 1993. According to LM, it is intended to help cover the significantly higher expenses associated with caring for three newborns simultaneously.
Historical data shows fluctuations in the number of recipient families: one in 2013, five in 2014, three in 2015, two in 2016, two in 2017, four in 2018, one in 2019, one in 2020, one in 2021, three in 2023, none in 2024, and three so far in 2025.
