This Saturday, July 11, the Biķernieki Track in Riga will host the third annual FeelFree Women's Cycling Day. The main event is an 11-kilometer solidarity ride open to women of any age and cycling experience—from active cyclists to those who have not ridden a bike for years.

Organizers emphasize that there is no competition: participants ride at their own pace, and no timing or ranking is involved. Last year, over 500 women took part, and organizers hope to see an even larger turnout this year.

The event is supported by notable Latvian athletes, including biathlete Andrejs Rastorgujevs and ultra-cyclist Arvis Sprude. Toms Markss, Secretary General of the Latvian Cycling Federation, believes that women's cycling in Latvia has great potential and envisions up to 10,000 participants in future editions.

Participation is free of charge. Every finisher will receive a gift, and there will be a prize draw at the end, including a special award for the company with the most representatives. Registration is available at bulta.lv/feelfree. The event is organized by Latvian Cycling Girls in cooperation with the Latvian Cycling Federation.
