Third MANO Superlaps Round This Thursday at Biķernieki
The third round of the MANO Superlaps series will take place this Thursday at Biķernieki track, featuring a return to the classic configuration. Registration remains open.
This Thursday, July 9, Biķernieki circuit will host the third round of the MANO Superlaps championship. The event returns to the classic track layout, promising exciting battles. Registration is still open at manoevents.lv.
The first two rounds saw a record participation of over 70 drivers. The largest class was OPEN with 19 entries, led by Lauris Mičulis (BMW M4) with two wins. He is followed by Jānis Straupe (BMW M4) and Sandis Zvidriņš (BMW M3).
In the 3000 class, Mārtiņš Spīķis (BMW 3 Series) dominates with two commanding victories. Raimonds Poga and Andris Freimanis hold second and third respectively. The 2000 class is led by Rolands Ozoliņš (Honda Civic), ahead of Roberts Greiškāns and Ričards Pavlovskis. The 1600 class has seen increased participation; Jānis Vanks (Toyota Yaris) has two wins. Edvīns Vansovičs (Acura Integra) tops FWD OPEN, while Jurijs Ivanovs (Porsche 911) leads the SUPERCAR standings.
Participants must obtain a LAF license and accident insurance, available at laflicences.lv. Organizers remind drivers to check their vehicles' technical condition, especially brakes, cooling, suspension, and tires, and to ensure a fire extinguisher and proper driver gear (long sleeves, gloves, helmet) are present.
