Four Latvian poetry collections published in 1993 have been nominated for this year's Third-of-a-Century Award, which honors the best Latvian poetry collection released 33 years ago. The winner will be determined by the award organizers.
Four poetry collections published in 1993 have been nominated for this year's Third-of-a-Century Award, which recognizes the best Latvian poetry collection released 33 years earlier, organizers announced.
Among the nominees is Valda Dreimane's collection "Tam neaizsargātam namam, kas sirds," published by "Artava." The same publishing house also released Guntars Godiņš's collection "Ēnu nesēji," also from 1993.
Also on the shortlist is Inguna Jansone's collection "Sikspārņa sindroms," published by "Garā pupa," as well as Knuts Skujenieks's collection "Mūžīgs pusmēness," released by "Teātra anekdotes."
This year's award thus features four works by different authors and publishers, all released three decades ago.
