Latvia is set to experience predominantly cloudy weather on Wednesday, May 15th, according to forecasters. Skies will clear and become sunnier in Kurzeme during the day, while clouds will persist elsewhere.
Rain is expected in many places both during the night and day, with the heaviest precipitation occurring overnight in Selija and Latgale. In Riga, rain is forecast for the first half of the night, but no significant precipitation is expected during the day, though skies will remain mostly cloudy.
Light to moderate west and northwest winds will blow at night, with temperatures dropping to +9 to +14 degrees. During the day, wind gusts will intensify to 9–14 meters per second, with gusts up to 16 meters per second expected in the afternoon and evening in Vidzeme. In Riga, west-northwest wind gusts will reach up to 13 meters per second.
Daytime temperatures will rise to between +15 and +20 degrees, while in Riga the thermometer will climb to +19 degrees. Nighttime temperatures in the capital will be around +12 degrees.
