One dead in three-car crash on Daugavpils highway, traffic blocked near Ikšķile

A three-vehicle collision occurred on Thursday on the Daugavpils highway between Ikšķile and Ogre, killing one person and injuring two others, the State Police told LETA.

A serious road accident took place on Thursday on the Daugavpils highway, in the section between Ikšķile and Ogre, involving three vehicles.

As a result of the crash, one person sustained fatal injuries and died. Two other people were injured in the collision.

The State Police reported the incident to the LETA news agency and are investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Following the collision, traffic on that section of the highway was blocked, causing disruption for drivers travelling along the route.
