Three bodies recovered from rubble after Russian airstrike on Donetsk Oblast
Rescuers have recovered the bodies of three people from the debris of two destroyed houses in the village of Bilenke, Donetsk Oblast, following a Russian airstrike.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported that a Russian airstrike destroyed two houses in the village of Bilenke, Donetsk Oblast, where people were staying. Search and rescue operations lasted approximately 17 hours. Rescue workers recovered the bodies of three people from under the rubble of the destroyed houses.
According to the SES, emergency workers, together with municipal services, cleared 25 tonnes of building debris and extinguished the fires. The operation has now been completed.
The SES stated: "Emergency workers, together with municipal services, cleared 25 tonnes of building debris and extinguished the fires. The operation has now been completed. Russian forces continue their deliberate terror against the civilian population of Donetsk Oblast – these are deliberate war crimes that kill and injure peaceful Ukrainians every day."
Background: On July 27, one man was killed and two others were injured in a Russian drone attack on a repair crew of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) in Donetsk Oblast.
