The Opportunity Camp, held in the Ogre region, has been a cherished summer tradition for 13 years. It gathers individuals who experience the world differently, offering them a three-day escape from their daily routines.

Many camp participants attend day centers or hold simple jobs. For them, these three days are a highlight of the year—a chance to be themselves, bond with others, and enjoy shared activities. The camp emphasizes community and mutual support.

The closing event is especially anticipated: popular musician Zigfrīds Muktupāvels joins the campers for music and singing. Organizers say that if Muktupāvels comes, the whole summer is a success. The camp has become a beloved tradition for both participants and volunteers.
