Three-Year-Old Olīvija Needs €240,000 to Start Treatment for Rare Disease

Latvian charity organization Ziedot.lv has drawn public attention to a new case requiring urgent financial assistance. Three-year-old Olīvija was recently diagnosed with a rare and severe illness known as neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis type 2, abbreviated CLN2.

€240,000 needed to begin therapy

For the child to start the required treatment as soon as possible, her family needs to raise at least €240,000. The organization notes that this sum is necessary specifically to begin therapy, and that acting quickly is especially important in this case.

Ziedot.lv emphasizes that the illness is both rare and severe, meaning treatment involves high costs and requires specific therapy. For this reason, the organization has launched a fundraising campaign, calling on the public to get involved and help Olīvija's family reach the required amount.

Ziedot.lv regularly organizes similar campaigns, helping families whose children have been diagnosed with rare diseases and whose treatment would often be impossible without public support. In this case as well, the organization hopes for a broad response so that the necessary funds can be raised as quickly as possible and Olīvija can begin therapy without further delay.
