Tricolor kitten from Valka has finally found a home
A young tricolor kitten that was abandoned last August while pregnant, later rescued and sterilized, has permanently stayed in the temporary home where it recovered. Several Valka residents asked about its fate, and the cat, now named Katrīne, is reportedly happy and loved.

Back in August, a report described a young tricolor kitten that had fallen into distress — the animal was abandoned while expecting kittens. Rescuers took the exhausted cat to a veterinarian, where it was sterilized.
After the procedure, the kitten spent its recovery period in a temporary home while a permanent owner was being sought.
Residents asked about the kitten's fate
The newsroom received requests from several residents of Valka asking whether the kitten had managed to find a loving owner who would care for it rather than abandon it again.
After checking, it turned out that no new permanent home was found. Instead, the animal has remained living in the same temporary home where it recovered. The cat, now named Katrīne, is reportedly a happy and loved pet.
