Trump Media & Technology Group, the owner of Truth Social, announced it will launch a commercial service delivering posts from the platform's most influential accounts to paying clients with minimal delay. Starting August 1, the service named Truth API will provide institutional investors such as banks and trading firms with updates in "milliseconds" around the clock. The firm hopes this will generate a steady revenue stream, as it currently operates at a loss. US President Donald Trump has the most followers on Truth Social, and his posts often trigger sudden market swings, especially on trade and tariffs. Until now, traders had to monitor the platform manually. Interim CEO Kevin McGurn stated that markets already move based on Truth Social posts and that the new feed will create consistent profit. Trump Media did not disclose pricing. McGurn also warned that the company will soon block unauthorized data scraping, forcing firms to purchase the official feed. Since the Trump family remains the majority shareholder, the president stands to profit directly from selling expedited access to his own public statements. The BBC reached out to Trump Media for comment on whether Trump's posts will be included, but received no reply; the White House declined to comment. Investment expert Mark Spiegel of Stanphyl Capital Management called it "unprecedented" if the feature includes the president's posts. He noted that firms relying on breaking headlines would be at a disadvantage without paid access, but added that Trump's posts represent only a small fraction of market-moving factors.
