Contacts between US and Russian officials continued in Moscow on Friday, as Trump administration envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived at the Kremlin following an extended meeting with Putin's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev.

According to available reports, the business lunch between the two American representatives and Dmitriev lasted about three and a half hours before the envoys headed to the Kremlin. No further details on the topics discussed or the outcome of the talks have been made public so far.

Witkoff and Kushner have recently been involved in contacts with the Russian side as part of the Trump administration's efforts to push forward efforts to end the war in Ukraine. Dmitriev, who heads Russia's Direct Investment Fund, has emerged as one of the Kremlin's key interlocutors in contacts with Washington.

Video footage circulating of the visit shows the envoys arriving on Kremlin grounds after their lunch with Dmitriev, though no official statement on the content of the meeting or next steps has yet been issued.
