Tuchel Stays as England Manager Despite World Cup Semifinal Loss

Thomas Tuchel stated on Wednesday that he has no intention of resigning as England's head coach following the team's 2-1 defeat to Argentina in the World Cup semifinal. The German manager emphasized that his contract is valid at least until the European Championship hosted by England, although he admitted it is difficult to think that far ahead after such a loss.

Tuchel analyzed the defeat, noting that Argentina dominated aerial duels and delivered numerous crosses. He took responsibility for not making substitutions after England took the lead, which allowed Argentina to exploit the flanks. "We tried. I won't deny it's the coach's responsibility," he said.

FA chairman Mark Bullingham expressed full support for Tuchel, praising the efforts of the players and staff. Meanwhile, Spain defeated France 2-0 in the other semifinal. England will face France on Saturday for third place.
