Thomas Tuchel has made it clear he has no intention of resigning as England's head coach, following the team's 2-1 loss to Argentina in the World Cup semifinals on Wednesday. England had taken the lead but failed to hold it.

Tuchel said he has a contract at least until the European Championship, which will be hosted in England, though he admitted it is difficult to think that far ahead at the moment. He attributed the defeat to Argentina's dominance in aerial duels and crosses from the flanks, adding that after scoring, no substitutions were made—a responsibility he takes on himself.

Mark Bullingham, chief of the Football Association, voiced his support for Tuchel, stating that everyone gave their all. He described the defeat as heartbreaking, coming so close to the final.

In the other semifinal on Tuesday, Spain defeated France 2-0. England will now face France on Saturday in the third-place match.
