England's national football team suffered a heartbreaking 1-2 loss to Argentina in the World Cup semi-finals.

Despite the defeat, head coach Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he does not intend to step down. He stated that his contract runs at least until the upcoming European Championship in England, though looking so far ahead is currently difficult.

Analyzing the loss, Tuchel acknowledged Argentina's dominance in aerial duels and crosses from the wings. He admitted that after England took the lead, he failed to make necessary substitutions, taking responsibility for the oversight.

Mark Bullingham, chief of the English Football Association, expressed full support for Tuchel, describing the defeat as heartbreaking but emphasizing that the team and coaching staff gave their all.

In the other semi-final, Spain defeated France 2-0. England will now face France on Saturday to compete for third place in the tournament.
