Thousands Join Peace March in Bosnia to Honor Srebrenica Genocide Victims

Over 6,500 participants from Bosnia, Herzegovina and abroad are taking part in a three-day peace march to commemorate the 1995 Srebrenica genocide. The march retraces the route survivors walked, ending at the memorial in Potočari.

This year's Peace March, marking its 22nd edition, began near Nezuk in Tuzla Canton. The 100-kilometer route includes stops with medical aid, food, water and accommodation in camps. Participants receive history lessons along the way.

The march ends at the Potočari memorial and cemetery, the site of the Srebrenica genocide. The event honors both the victims and the survivors who endured a days-long journey to safety.
