Train Traffic Suspended on Tukums Line After Tree Falls on Overhead Wires

A tree fell on overhead contact wires in the Zasulauks-Priedaine section of the Tukums line, damaging infrastructure and halting train services.

Latvian Railways has reported that a tree fell on the overhead contact wires on the Tukums line, specifically in the section between Zasulauks and Priedaine. The incident damaged the railway infrastructure, leading to a suspension of train traffic in that area.

As a result, the railway company has closed the section to trains. The exact duration of the disruption is not yet known. Passengers are encouraged to follow updates from Latvian Railways regarding the resumption of normal train operations.
