Tukums 2000 stage second-half comeback to beat Ogre United 2:1

Visitors take the lead

Tensions flared in the 72nd minute following a scuffle in the penalty area, resulting in a yellow card for Ogre United's Dāvis Vējkrīgers, though the hosts felt a red card was warranted.

The sustained pressure eventually told in the 82nd minute, when Bogdans Samoilovs reacted first to a high cross to level the score at 1:1. Ogre United tried to respond, but Tukums maintained the upper hand and struck again in the 88th minute through Ruslans Deružinskis, sealing a 2:1 victory.

The defeat cost Ogre United the chance to cut the gap to eighth-placed Grobiņa to two points; they now trail by eight points. Tukums 2000, meanwhile, has narrowed the gap to Grobiņa to just one point, significantly boosting its hopes of avoiding the relegation play-offs.
