Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated on Thursday that his government is factoring in the possibility that Russia could direct attacks against Poland's own border crossings.

The remark came after Russia carried out strikes on international border crossing points along Ukraine's border. Tusk said that, in light of these attacks, Poland is prepared for a scenario in which its own border crossings could become a similar target.

The statement suggests the Polish government is closely monitoring Russian actions near border areas and assessing threats that could arise from the proximity of the war in Ukraine to Polish territory. Poland is a member of NATO and the European Union, and its border with Ukraine serves as a key logistics and aid corridor supporting Ukraine.

The prime minister did not provide further details on specific security measures or a timeline.
