TV tonight: Alan Carr’s game show, Alexander Armstrong, and ‘The Sentinels’

Tonight’s TV highlights include Alan Carr’s picture quiz, Alexander Armstrong’s travelogue, the BBC drama ‘Casualty’, and the French series ‘The Sentinels’. Film choices feature ‘Wicked Little Letters’ and ‘Jurassic Park’.

BBC One at 6.05pm airs the fourth series of Alan Carr’s game show ‘Picture Slam’. Teams from London, south Wales, and Motherwell compete to identify images for a £10,000 prize. It’s an upgraded version of the classic ‘Catchphrase’.

On Channel 5 at 8pm, the finale of ‘Alexander Armstrong Across America’ reaches Florida. Armstrong examines the legacy of Miami’s cocaine boom and meets a former MAGA supporter who lost faith in Donald Trump.

BBC One’s ‘Casualty’ at 8.20pm follows medic Dylan bracing for a tense family reunion, while nurse Jodie plans to confront the council over toxic waste health issues.

BBC Four at 9pm shows a double bill of French drama ‘The Sentinels’. In an alternate history, super-soldiers fought in WWI; after capturing a German spy, they get downtime but face an enemy mega-commando.

BBC Two at 10pm presents ‘TOTP: Big Hits 2001’ with archive performances from Nelly Furtado, Missy Elliott, Destiny’s Child, and Blue. At 11pm, ‘TOTP: The Story of 2001’ focuses on rock acts like Feeder and Dandy Warhols, plus So Solid Crew from the UK garage scene.

Films: Channel 4 at 9pm shows ‘Wicked Little Letters’ starring Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley in a 1920s comedy about poison pen letters. ITV1 at 10.50pm airs ‘Jurassic Park’ with Sam Neill, the first posthumous broadcast of his work.

Sports: Rugby championship matches, golf’s The Open third round, cricket T20 Blast finals, Tour de France stage 14, and a World Cup football match between England and France at 9.30pm on BBC One.
