TV tonight: Welsh drama finale, new Enola Holmes film, and more

A roundup of July 1 evening TV programming: season finales of several series, a new Enola Holmes film, and documentaries.

Tonight, July 1, television viewers have a variety of shows to choose from. At 9pm on Channel 4, the second season finale of the Welsh drama "The Light in the Hall: Still Waters" airs. Budding journalist Caryl Huws probes Llŷr's death, putting her on a collision course with Robert, who wants the past left undisturbed. The series has been a bleak study in small-town ennui.

At 8pm on Channel 4, "Location, Location, Location" returns with Kirstie and Phil revisiting Leeds to check on Dan and Max five years after helping them find a home, then heading to west London.

On Sky Witness at 10pm, the season two finale of "Doc" shows amnesiac doctor Amy tackling a rare deadly virus. When Amy gets infected, her colleagues must perform emergency surgery to save her, leading to a tragic departure.

Sky History at 10pm presents "Mysteries Unearthed with Danny Trejo", where the actor investigates a diamond heist, a burning crater called "Gateway to Hell", and an island of deadly vipers.

At 10.15pm on Sky Atlantic, musical drama "In Our Blood" tells the Australian AIDS story. In the first episode of a concluding double-bill, infections rise along with violent hatred towards gay people.

From 2am on Sky One, the season four climax of "From" sees Boyd leading residents of nightmare Fromville home, while Tabitha and Jade collect children's bones before the bottle tree is pulled out.

Film choices include "Enola Holmes 3" (2026) on Netflix, with Millie Bobby Brown returning as the teen detective. Enola is distracted from her wedding by news that her brother Sherlock has been kidnapped. Other films: "A Cock and Bull Story" (2005) on BBC Three, "The Last Tree" (2019) on Film4, and "Bang My Box: The Robin Byrd Story" (2026) on HBO Max.
