Ugreen enters smart home market with local AI hubs
Ugreen has unveiled a new smart home product line centered on local AI hubs that process data without relying on the cloud. The lineup also includes security cameras, a smart picture frame and a speaker, with prices ranging from under $100 to as much as $20,000.

Ugreen, a company best known for chargers, USB cables and network-attached storage devices, is expanding into the smart home space. At a launch event at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the company introduced a new AIoT product line built around two ARM-based AI hubs called HomeAgent and MasterAgent.
Three hubs for different needs
HomeAgent comes in two versions. The base HA100 runs on an RK3588 platform with 16GB of memory and 26 TOPS of AI performance, offering automation and object recognition. The upgraded HA100 Pro uses a more powerful chip and 32GB of memory, reaching 205 TOPS, and adds motion and intent recognition along with voice-based automation rules. The HA100 costs $1,799 ($899 early bird), while the HA100 Pro costs $5,999 ($2,999 early bird).
The flagship MasterAgent MA100 runs on Nvidia's Jetson Thor platform with 128GB of memory and up to 2,070 TOPS of performance. It carries a price tag of $20,000, though early buyers can get 50 percent off.
Privacy versus cost
Unlike offerings from Amazon and Google that process data in the cloud, Ugreen's hubs handle everything locally. Company representatives said this could save money compared to cloud service fees over time, though upfront costs remain steep. The hubs work with ONVIF and Matter devices, with Zigbee and Thread support planned, but there is no official Home Assistant support.
Cameras, speaker and picture frame
The lineup also includes three SynCare security cameras with facial recognition, priced between $149 and $399. The voice assistant is called Uliya, paired with a smart speaker priced at $99. A 13.3-inch E-Ink picture frame rounds out the lineup at $439, though it currently functions only as a basic photo display.
Pre-orders open September 3 and run through October 27, followed by a Kickstarter campaign. Shipping is expected to begin in January.
