Ukraine calls on UN Security Council to urgently consider ceasefire resolution
Ukraine has urged UN Security Council members to immediately submit a resolution for an immediate ceasefire. The call was made by Ukraine's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Volodymyr Pavlichenko.

Ukraine has called on members of the UN Security Council to promptly put forward a draft resolution demanding an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Ukraine. The appeal was made on Thursday by Volodymyr Pavlichenko, Ukraine's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
According to Pavlichenko, the paralysis of the Security Council regarding Russia's crimes must be ended by the international community that still respects a rules-based international order. He stressed that adopting such a resolution would clearly demonstrate support for restoring a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine.
Call for continued military support
Pavlichenko also urged partner countries to continue providing military assistance to Ukraine. He emphasized that this is not escalation but the only effective strategy to restore peace and save lives.
The call comes after Ukraine initiated an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council following another massive Russian shelling attack that occurred on the night of July 6.
