Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, stated that Russia's influence over Belarus persists, leading to the expansion of military infrastructure within the country. This includes training grounds and bases capable of housing personnel. He emphasized that Ukraine must enhance its defense capabilities and be prepared for any scenario.

At the same time, Demchenko noted that the number of troops directly near Ukraine's border has not increased. The units deployed there since 2022 are undergoing rotation, with one unit currently being replaced by another. Such rotations are regular and are being monitored.

Earlier this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky repeatedly warned about heightened Russian military activity in Belarus. On Thursday, he reported that intelligence had detected the construction of roads, ammunition depots, and fuel storage facilities near the border, which Russia could use to expand the war.

Zelensky also demanded that Belarus cease operating Russian drone repeaters on its territory, and according to him, they are no longer active.
