Ukraine builds Bars, a jet-powered interceptor to hunt Russian Shahed-type drones

Ukraine has developed its own jet-powered interceptor drone, Bars, designed to hunt Shahed-type drones. President Volodymyr Zelensky says it hits about 30% of Russian jet drones.

Ukraine, which is fighting Russia's full-scale invasion, has introduced a home-built jet-powered interceptor drone called Bars. It is designed to hunt Shahed-type attack drones, which Russia uses against Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Bars hits about 30% of Russian jet drones. The source gives no further technical details and does not say how many of the interceptors have been deployed.

The item appears in Euromaidan Press's daily roundup for day 1701 of the Russo-Ukrainian war. The headline of the same roundup also says that Kyiv has found the remains of 40 Ukrainians killed by Polish units during World War II.
