Ukraine launched more than 600 drones at Moscow and surrounding areas overnight into Tuesday, continuing its intensified strikes on targets across Russia following even larger attacks over the weekend.

According to Reuters, drones are believed to have struck a warehouse belonging to Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries along with other facilities near Moscow. At least three people were injured. Several other Russian-controlled regions also reported heavy attacks, including occupied Crimea, where the peninsula's power supplier reported outages.

Meanwhile, a Russian strike on the village of Pechenihy in Ukraine's Kharkiv region killed at least 10 people, with Ukraine saying the attack hit private homes and shops.

Ukraine says Putin is 'dragging out' the war

Ukraine's foreign minister, Andrii Sybiha, said President Vladimir Putin continues to drag out the war rather than accept Ukraine's proposed realistic ceasefire and end the bloodshed. He called for additional sanctions, isolation and accountability for Russian crimes, including through the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression Against Ukraine, which is due to begin operating soon in The Hague.

Russia threatens UK over reported drone use

Moscow has warned the UK of "consequences" following reports that Ukraine used British-made drones to strike targets on Russian territory for the first time. The Sunday Times reported that Kyiv used drones from two UK companies as part of a deep-strike campaign targeting Russian military industry and energy facilities, including Wildberries depots.

Russia's embassy in London said the reports confirmed Britain was deliberately pursuing an escalation of the conflict and accused it of trying to inflict maximum damage on Russia by proxy, warning that London's actions would carry consequences. The UK Ministry of Defence responded that Britain remains committed to supporting Ukraine's self-defence against Russian aggression.
