Ukraine's General Staff has announced that overnight on September 13, the country's Defense Forces struck two oil refineries in Russia — the Slavyansky refinery in Krasnodar region and the Taneko refinery in Tatarstan. Military officials also confirmed damage from an earlier strike on September 11 at the Saratov oil refinery.

Damage at both facilities

A fire broke out at the Slavyansky refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban following the strike. At the Taneko refinery in Nizhnekamsk, one of the storage tanks caught fire, according to the General Staff.

Further details on the Saratov refinery

After analyzing additional data, the General Staff determined that the September 11 strike on the Saratov refinery damaged the ELZU-AVT-6 primary oil processing unit as well as a section of the main pipeline.

The report recalls that Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR) previously said a strike on the Slavyansk-EKO refinery had damaged its key oil processing unit and the facility's tank farm.
