Ukraine has ordered 54% more FPV attack drones so far in 2026 than it did in the whole of 2025, according to Euromaidan Press. FPV drones are unmanned aircraft piloted by an operator who sees a live image from the drone's camera. They are widely used in the war Russia launched against Ukraine.

Deliveries and contracts

Deliveries of these drones have also grown almost fourfold alongside the orders. This indicates that larger contracts are being turned into actual equipment.

In addition, contracting across all drone types in recent months is up about 5.5 times compared with a year earlier.

Why it matters

The figures show how quickly Ukraine is expanding its procurement of unmanned systems. The available source text does not give detailed absolute numbers, manufacturers or funding sources, so they are not mentioned here.
