Ukraine plans to bring in 406,000 doses of influenza vaccine during the current flu season, according to the country's State Medicines Agency (Ukrfarmagentstvo), as cited by the news agency Interfax-Ukraine. Deliveries are scheduled for November.

Which vaccines are expected

The State Expert Center is currently carrying out laboratory control of 920 doses of GC Flu, produced by the South Korean company GC Biopharma Corp. The importer is Biolabs. The result of the check is expected around 12–13 November. In total, 140,000 doses of this vaccine are to be delivered.

A further 266,000 doses of Vaxigrip are also expected in November. The vaccine is made by the French company Sanofi Winthrop Industrie and imported to Ukraine by Sanofi-Aventis Ukraine.

Background

Ukraine's Health Minister Viktor Liashko had announced that the ministry re-registered flu vaccines and that more than 400,000 doses were expected to arrive in the near future.

In the previous flu season, 2025–2026, 136,000 doses of GC Flu and 100,670 doses of Vaxigrip Tetra passed state quality control. This year's planned volume is larger.
