Ukraine's General Staff has reported that on August 22 and overnight into August 23, Ukrainian defense forces struck a number of Russian military targets in occupied Crimea.

According to the General Staff, the targets included a radar station along with infrastructure connected to the use of naval and strike unmanned systems.

Targets hit

In the Chornomorske area, Ukrainian forces struck a site used for launching and storing uncrewed naval surface vessels. A ground-based relay station, which Russian forces used to control "Geran" and "Gerbera" strike drones, was also targeted.

In Yevpatoria, a Russian ST-68 radar station was hit.

The General Staff said the extent of the damage and the results of the strikes are still being confirmed.

Context

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently stated that Russia is potentially capable of producing up to 1,300 ballistic missiles per year, pointing to the capacity of Russia's military-industrial complex.
