Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that 637 drones were launched at Moscow and the surrounding region between Wednesday night and Tuesday morning, calling it one of the largest air assaults on the Russian capital since the war started. He said Russian forces shot down 180 of the drones over the Moscow region and that emergency crews were sent to the crash sites, while reporting no damage or casualties in the capital itself.

Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov said separately that drones struck a warehouse belonging to e-commerce company Wildberries along with other sites near Moscow. At least three people, including a 10-year-old girl, were injured in the region, he said. Wildberries confirmed that debris from a downed drone caused minor damage to a wall of its regional warehouse. Social media images appeared to show smoke rising from high-rise apartment buildings under construction in the area following the strikes.

Regional energy provider Mosoblenergo said more than 5,000 customers lost power after drones hit electricity infrastructure. Several other Russian regions, including annexed Crimea, also reported heavy overnight drone attacks. Krymenergo, Crimea's largest power supplier, said multiple towns in the southern part of the peninsula lost electricity following the strikes.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities reported that overnight Russian strikes killed at least 10 people in the northeastern Kharkiv region.
