Ukraine's military says 1,420 Russian troops killed or wounded in past day

Ukraine's General Staff reports 1,420 Russian occupation forces killed or wounded over the past 24 hours, bringing total Russian personnel losses since February 2022 to nearly 1.49 million.

Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff has reported that Ukrainian defense forces killed or wounded 1,420 Russian occupation troops over the past day. Total Russian personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, through August 29 of this year have reached approximately 1,485,200 people.

The General Staff also released updated figures on other Russian equipment losses. Three tanks were destroyed or damaged over the past day, bringing the total tank losses since the war began to 12,310. Losses of armored combat vehicles rose by four units, reaching 25,241.

Other equipment losses

Artillery system losses grew by 25 units, reaching a total of 48,774. The number of destroyed multiple rocket launcher systems increased by three, bringing the total to 2,070. Ground robotic complex losses rose by nine units, reaching 2,429.

The most notable increase was in operational-tactical level drones, with 1,360 lost over the past day, bringing the cumulative total to 486,384 units. Losses of vehicles and fuel tankers rose by 318 to reach 141,059 units, while losses of special equipment increased by four, reaching 4,608 units.

The General Staff notes that the published figures are being refined and represent approximate enemy losses, compiled based on assessments by Ukraine's armed forces.
