Ukraine's military says it killed or wounded 1,440 Russian troops in a day, destroyed over 600 pieces of equipment

Ukraine's General Staff reports that Russian forces lost 1,440 troops and more than 600 units of equipment over the past day. Russia's total losses since the invasion began are approaching 1.5 million troops.

Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff has released updated figures on Russian military losses during the war. According to the report, Ukrainian defense forces killed or wounded 1,440 Russian occupiers over the past 24 hours, bringing total Russian personnel losses to roughly 1,493,790 since the invasion began on 24 February 2022.

Equipment losses

Increases were recorded across nearly every equipment category. One tank was destroyed over the past day, bringing the total to 12,325. Armored combat vehicle losses rose by 8 to 25,272 units. Artillery system losses grew by 77 to 49,162 units, while losses of multiple rocket launcher systems rose by 3 to 2,088 units.

Air defense equipment losses increased by 4, reaching 1,604 units in total. Ground robotic system losses rose by 13, reaching 2,489 units.

Drones and other equipment

The largest increase was recorded in operational-tactical level drones, up by 1,890 units to a total of 497,911. Losses of vehicles and fuel tankers rose by 492 to 143,642 units, while losses of special equipment increased by 8, reaching 4,636 units in total.

The General Staff notes that the figures are being verified and updated.
