Ukrainian Army Destroys Tu-95 Strategic Bomber at Engels Airfield
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the military destroyed a Russian Tu-95 strategic bomber during an attack on Engels airfield.
On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on social media that the Ukrainian army had successfully targeted the Engels airfield in the Saratov region, about 800 kilometers from the front line. The attack destroyed a Tu-95 strategic bomber.
Later, the Ukrainian army confirmed that according to preliminary reports, the aircraft sustained critical damage, with its tail section completely torn off. The military noted that this specific bomber had been systematically used to launch massive missile strikes against Ukraine.
It was reported that the Ukrainian drone strike on the Engels military airfield occurred during the night leading into Thursday.
