Ukraine reports Russia lost 1,710 troops and 96 artillery systems in one day

Ukraine's General Staff has released its latest daily tally of Russian military losses since the full-scale invasion began on 24 February 2022, published via the armed forces' Facebook page. According to the update, Russian forces lost 1,710 soldiers killed or wounded over the most recent 24-hour period.

This brings the estimated total number of Russian personnel losses since the start of the war to roughly 1,527,280.

Equipment losses

Over the same period, Ukrainian forces reported destroying or disabling seven tanks, 20 armoured combat vehicles, 96 artillery systems, three multiple-launch rocket systems and four air defence systems. Additional losses included 12 ground robotic systems, 1,445 operational-tactical drones, 576 vehicles and fuel tankers, and eight units of special equipment. No losses of fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, ships or submarines were recorded in the latest 24 hours.

Since the invasion began, Ukraine's General Staff estimates Russia has lost a total of 12,376 tanks, 25,435 armoured combat vehicles, 50,371 artillery systems, 2,160 multiple-launch rocket systems, 1,673 air defence systems, 443 fixed-wing aircraft, 356 helicopters, 2,748 ground robotic systems, 534,020 drones, 5,118 cruise missiles, 35 ships or boats, two submarines, 153,728 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,749 special vehicles and other equipment.

The General Staff noted that the figures are still being confirmed. Ukraine publishes such loss estimates on a daily basis, though they cannot be independently verified by outside sources.
